6 months is barely enough time to see indo-china, let alone Asia! I would suggest you see as much as possible (focus only on that) and then when you are getting to the end of the trip - decide whether you've seen anything useful and go from there (likely extending your trip). This is a better use of your life than wasting time during your voyage thinking about business.

Perhaps start some kind of blog online that is a traveler's diary and lets your blog audience decide where you're going next. It can go viral because of all these people trying to vote your next destination, and you can make money from ads.
