innovation needs action to stimulate our brain, so I suggest doing that in an activity room

Setup a idea-room in a hallway inviting every passing person to contribute to the process - no matter that they didn't hear "the whole story"

Set up a group room OUTSIDE - why is it allways inside in a closed room...

Round tables provide a face to face interaction with ALL arround the table

Desks should be hight-adjustable - to provide both standing and sitting interaction.

lol - didn't see the "No bean bags... " part - sorry

Have "FATBOY" beanbags all over the place

Have lots of old magazines, clay and other playfull stuff to get ideas from

Make up the room of LEGO-like bloks, for people to build their own versions of the ideas, seating, environment

lighting is key 45 degree angles with incandecant source

Make the room look like the point of purchase of your product... maybe the isle in Walmart or another store where your product can be seen among competitors... help your employees feel the same decision-making factors that your customers experience.

Make the room look like your customer's house or the place where they use your product. Divide the room into different scenarios where your product is used. Help your employees get into the shoes of your customer.

Keep a freezer/fridge and make a kitchen and allow people to cook together some creative fusion entrees.

Make it a games room... put fooseball, ping-pong, darts, pinball, etc. all sorts of games in there

Make it look like a homely cafe with a nice fireplace, couches, and a coffee grinder

Painting kits... canvas, colors, crayons all over the room

How about a room full of aquariums/fish-tanks around you.

Make it a beach theme... bring in sand and beach chairs and put large pictures of the ocean/beachfront on the walls. You can keep beachballs and buckets in the room as props to match.
