How can you make Innovation into the next big microtrend?
For many years now I have been trying to workout how to evangelize innovation and brainstorming. Through my work I have come across many people that love to brainstorm new ideas. Personally, I would list innovation and brainstorming as a hobby of mine. I really believe there are many other people out there that would also consider this as a hobby. My question is: how do we promote brainstorming and innovation more to build it as a hobby? There are clubs of all shapes and sizes: book, knitting, board game etc. Why are there not more innovation clubs? I can’t think anything better than to meet with friends on a regular basis to brainstorm ideas. This website – brainreactions is a perfect demonstration that there are lots of people that love to brainstorm new ideas. I want brainstorming clubs to be as popular as book clubs one day! A recent book talks about 'microtrends', trends that reach a tipping point at around 1 million participants. How can we jump-start this microtrend and get up to 1 million people?
