Vote entirely separately to idea generation - judgement kills creativity. The thing I dislike most about Brainreactions is the "Good Idea" button being on the same page as the "Add idea" button. This is called virtual peer pressure.

Whatever you do, offer open honest feedback to soemone whose idea has been canned. Most peole can live with a decision if there is a reasoned case for the knock back, but if you just kill something silently seeds of dicontent are sown.

Ideas should be prioritised agianst your strategic aims - if an idea takes you off in a direction you don't want business to go, then even if it's a great idea it's notthe right one for you.
