If you keep responding to the same problem then you are probably dealing with a symptom rather than the root cause. Ask yourself, "What causes this symptom?" and then ask yourself, "What would I have to do to totally eliminate that cause?" Those two questions will give you some of biggest insight and breakthroughs into solving problems that you'll ever come across. [over 14 years ago]
Go beyond the word that describes the solution to purpose of the solution, e.g. instead of saying "I need a job," say, "I need an income." That frees you from confining boundaries. Ask yourself, "What's the true purpose of this solution? Is there an alternative way to get that?" [over 14 years ago]
